maybe they arent doing Susan and Linda cause they dident want to do two dolls, or they couldent decide which one to do.
Emily is also quite different then Molly, as Linda and Susan are quite similar in their background and stuff.
I feel that Linda and Susan are a more important part of Molly's life, but Emily is great too [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
I think there are a few reasons. Linda and Susan's stories would be so similar to Molly's, it would be a bore to read about them! Also, how would they pick just one?
Perhaps they're going to continue the traveling theme next year, and have Molly go visit Emily in England?
Also, I think they're going to go back to Sam and Molly in a few years after all the other friend dolls are made, and make Agnes and Agatha and Linda and Susan.
It would be weird of them to not release them eventually, so I do think they're on the way [img]smile.gif[/img]
I think that what would be nice is a story based on What happened to many British Children, In that they were sent abroad to stay with Families During th eWar so that they would be safe.
An American Experience that is form a different perspective perhaps
It would be weird to have a World War II story and ignore the one character who actually experienced the war.Molly's birthday story it seems that Emily is very new to this country. A closer friendship could develop later. Readers probably asked more questions about Emily than Linda and Susan.
Unless they introduced some different element Linda and Susan's storys would be as boring as
Elizabeths.
Katya, you said that American girls should be American. right? Then what about Kirsten? she came from Sweden! The first book on Kirsten's story begins on a boat not even in America. I think this is what AG is doing. Emily is becoming American, just like Kirsten. Kirsten is not an American but she does become one. Emily is in the same situation, where she needs to leave her home land and find a new home, America!
Josefina's not American either is she? I think Emily is cute. My favorite name is Emily, but yeah I think Linda and Susan would be neat too.
A lot of Europeans came here during the war and became citizens. Maybe Emily's family will come here and they all become Americans.
I think it's unfair to say that Linda's and Susan's stories would be boring. Molly's books reveal so little about their family lives, that who knows what kind of interesting things a talented author could make up for them?
I, too, am disappointed that Linda and Susan won't be coming this fall. Several times in Molly's books, I can remember specific mentions of them as "Molly's best friends." But, as Cami said, there's no reason to believe that AG won't come back to them at some point in the future. Or, you could always do some rewigging and make your own!
